Greetings Pilates Peeps!


I invite you to join me for Pilates Day. "The goal of Pilates Day is to foster the public's appreciation and awareness of pilates through events that are affordable and accessible" - (Pilates Method Alliance). I believe pilates is for every BODY and wellness for all. This class is a space where we get to explore movement through a pilates practice, develop body awareness and build new, safe, and efficient movement patterns in the body.

FAQs
What is Pilates?
 
Pilates is a full-body movement practice that integrates the mind and body. It is a functional form of fitness.
 
I am certified to teach various pilates formats on the following apparatus': mat, reformer, cadillac, barrel, EXO chair, and springboard.

I want to try pilates but I don't know where to start. 

If you are new to starting a pilates practice I suggest trying my weekly Zoom-ilates Community Class. If you'd like to start private lessons, I suggest booking a 30 minutes Intro Session.

I want to try pilates but I have an injury. How do I know if pilates is safe for me?

If you have any injuries I suggest consulting your health care provider and/or physical therapist. After you've been cleared,  I will be able to make an assessment and create modifications for your pilates practice.

I believe movement is medicine and it is important that we continue to take care of ourselves and support one another. I invite you to join me online as we continue our community care practice of Pilates.

Zoom-ilates class is a space where we get to explore movement through a pilates practice, develop body awareness and build new, safe, and efficient movement patterns in the body. I teach progressively and give modifications during the class. This community class open to all levels.

Building a Home Studio

Working out at home has its perks! It allows us to create a space at home where we can build a consistent movement practice. For my ZOOM-ilates series I love to incorporate props to help us dive deeper in our practice.

I've always had a passion for movement and fitness.
I was introduced to the pilates method while studying Dance Performance at the University of California, Irvine and used the pilates method as a form of cross training. I trained under Diane Diefenderfer at Studio Du Corps. My 450hr teacher certification program was Ron Fletcher based and focused on the classic mat and reformer work of the founder, Joseph Pilates. I am certified to teach various pilates formats and on the following apparatus': mat, reformer, cadillac, barrel, EXO chair, tower, and pedi pole.
